This sticky will replace the other thread to announce important Big Meet news. (and thanks to Des Swink and my fellow mods to close an eye at the Stickies Are Evil prime directive).
On friday, saturday and sunday 6,7 and 8th of June 2008 a Big Meeting will be held in Alkmaar, The Netherlands
The main reason for this location (instead of going to a 'cool' city like Amsterdam) is that we will be able to host it at a legendary musicvenue, so we have our own place to meet, have REAL bands play, do karaoke, have a computernetwork with webcams and lansystems etc etc etc.
Many celebrity Popomundians will be present such as representatives from the company that makes Popomundo, including developer Mika Grennhall, and staffmembers like Bernhard McKenzie and Des Swink.
And ofcourse a lot of people you like and dislike famous and infamous, Hadleyesly hot and hopperly hideous etc etc.
And to make sure all goes well a few things of a serious nature:
- We try to keep the whole event as cheap as possible, we do NOT try to make a profit, and Nigel Cameron, the Organisation Committee, Parkhof or Popomundo are NOT responsible or liable for your financial wellbeing that weekend.
- Please try and behave, we have to live in this city long after you have left and dont like to be confronted with a nasty after party reputation because a bunch of drunks couldnt control themselves. Respect our nice 16th century city, or at least pity us for living there.
- Allthough this Big Meet has the consent of Popomundo Headquarters, it is a private initiative so Popomundo, it's creators or it's parentorganisation is in NO way responsible for whatever happens during that weekend. Unless Mika throws up on your shoes ofcourse ...
